Agenda:
Students will take the survey Feb 5th during 5th hour. Everything is confidential.
Parents will have the opportunity to take the survey during Parent/Teacher conferences in the computer lab.
Teachers are listed on this survey, encourage everyone to be honest.
Middle School NEW Mission statement states that "FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION"
The school needs more monthly prizes. Mr. Southwick encouraged the Site Council members to reach out to the businesses and get more monthly prizes. The school will see that we have enough weekly prizes if we can get more monthly prizes.
Charlene VanDyke brought up that she would like to see an activity that would involve having the students dress up in their best, use proper etiquette and have the experience of being involved in a special dress up occasion.
Instead of a Valentine's Tea there will be a Valentine's Dance.
Student body officers will come up with a "Dress Up Day" activity.
Penny Wars will be an activity where the grades will compete against each other for a fundraiser for the school. Details to follow...
Mr. Southwick asked the committee member to come up with ideas for a fundraiser that we will discuss in the spring meeting. The pizza fundraiser raised $13,000, the school kept $3000.
Mr. Southwick wanted to let all the site members know that he has an open door policy. If anyone has any questions or concerns please come to him.
